Ishani Food Works Private Limited

We are based at 8/1A, Sir William Jones Sarani in Kolkata. It’s an interesting part of the city to work in because of all the history around these streets. Ishani Food Works Private Limited isn't in a new glass building or a modern industrial park. We are right in the heart of the city in an older structure. Space is a bit tight, as it often is in Kolkata, so we have to be very organized with how we store our ingredients and equipment. The street outside is usually busy with people walking to work or cars trying to squeeze through. You can hear the city life all day long, from the honking of horns to the shouts of the street vendors. We’ve grown accustomed to the rhythm of this place. Inside, we stay busy with the actual work of making food products. It’s a lot of physical labor, and the humidity in the summer can be a real challenge for everyone. We take our breaks when we can and usually grab some street food from the nearby stalls. We don't have a big corporate culture here. It's more about getting the job done and making sure we can pay the bills at the end of the month. We’ve stayed in this location because it’s where we started and it feels like home now. It’s a humble operation, but we put in the hours every single day.
