Sandesh

If you go to 79 Lenin Sarani and head up to the third floor, you will find us in Room 306. The building is one of those older ones with high ceilings and a lot of character, though the walls could use some paint. We have been operating Sandesh from this room for quite a while now. It is a bit of a climb if the lift is not working, but we are used to the exercise. The room is filled with stacks of papers and old wooden furniture that has been here as long as I can remember. It has a specific smell, like old ink and paper, but we have grown to like it. We mostly focus on our daily tasks, whether it is coordination or handling the paperwork that comes through the door. Being on Lenin Sarani means there is always noise from the street below, but it becomes like background music after a while. We have a small window that lets in some light, but it is mostly fluorescent bulbs in here. There are only a few of us who sit here most days. We do not have a big fancy sign on the door, just a small nameplate. It is a very quiet office compared to the busy street outside. We usually eat our lunch together at the main table. We do not do anything flashy. We just handle the business that comes our way and try to stay organized.
