We are located in the Nilamber Building, right on Shakespeare Sarani. It’s a well-known part of town, near the police station and not too far from Circus Avenue. Being in this part of Kolkata means there is always something going on right outside our door. We have a lot of office workers coming in during their lunch breaks, and then families show up in the evenings. The shop at 28B has been our home for a long time. It’s a practical space. We don’t spend much time worrying about modern interior design or fancy lighting. Instead, we focus on the food we put out every day. The shelves are packed with sweets and snacks that people expect to find when they walk in. It gets quite busy, especially in the late afternoons when everyone wants a little something to eat. The staff knows how to handle the rush, even when it feels like everyone is talking at once. We try to keep things moving so no one has to wait too long. Living and working in this city can be hectic, and our shop is just another part of that daily grind. We see the same faces week after week, which is nice. It makes the place feel more like a neighborhood shop despite being on a major road like Shakespeare Sarani. We’re just here doing our thing, day in and day out, serving the people who pass through this part of the city every day.
