International College

Our college is located at 108/2 Bidhan Sarani in North Kolkata. If you know this part of the city, you know how much history is in these streets. The building is right there on the main road, surrounded by old shops, bookstores, and the usual Kolkata bustle. It is an old-school kind of place, where the hallways are tall and the rooms have those big windows. We have students coming from all over West Bengal to study here. It is often very noisy outside with the trams and the traffic, but once you get into the classrooms, it settles down a bit. We do not have many modern luxuries, but we have a lot of books and teachers who have been here for decades. The day usually starts early and goes on until the late afternoon. You will see students hanging out near the entrance or talking in the corridors between their lectures. Managing a college in such an old building has its challenges, like fixing the leaks or dealing with the electrics, but it is part of the charm of being on Bidhan Sarani. We just try to keep the place running and make sure the students have what they need for their exams. It is a very traditional environment, and we do not try to change that. It is just a solid, local institution where people come to get their degrees and move on with their lives.
