Great Eastern Trading Co Garia is located at 433 Garia Main Road. We are right opposite the Sitala Mandir, so it is easy to find us if you follow the crowds heading to the temple. We have a lot of electronics and home appliances packed into the store. You will see rows of fridges, washing machines, and televisions all lined up. It gets pretty bright inside with all the screens turned on at once. We spend our day talking to people about which microwave is better or why one TV has a clearer picture than the other. It is a busy street and sometimes the noise from the temple bells and the buses outside makes it hard to hear, but we make do. We are not a corporate office, just a local branch where the staff knows most of the neighbors. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road for a bit while we are unloading new stock, and the neighbors complain, but we try to be quick about it. We have a few plastic chairs for people to sit on while we fill out the paperwork. It’s a straightforward place. We don't use scripted speeches or try to act like we are in a movie. We just show you the features, tell you the price, and help you get it loaded into a rickshaw or a truck. That is how we do things in Garia.
