Gopi Stores

Gopi Stores is located on Khudiram Bose Sarani in the Belgachia area of Kolkata. It’s a very active part of the city, and our shop is right in the middle of all that movement. We’ve been here for years, dealing with the daily bustle of the street. It’s a small shop, packed with shelves full of canisters and packets. We mostly sell groceries and general items that people need for their homes. The morning is usually our busiest time because everyone is trying to get their shopping done before it gets too hot or too crowded. We have to be careful with how we stack things because the space is quite narrow. Khudiram Bose Sarani is a famous road, and being here means we see all sorts of people every day. We don’t use any fancy systems; we just write things down and keep track of our stock the old way. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of all the traffic, but we try to keep everything clean enough. My family has been involved with this for a long time. We aren't trying to be a big supermarket. We are just a local store where you can get a bag of flour or some matches without any fuss. It’s a simple business, and we are happy to be a part of the Belgachia community. Most of our customers are more like friends now.
