You can find Farinni Leather Pvt. Ltd. over at No. 7-ab Raicharan Pal Lane. It’s right near the No. 4 Park Circus Bridge, so we get to hear the trains and the traffic all day long. The lane is one of those spots that’s easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we have a delivery coming in, but we make it work. Inside, it’s all about the leather. We have piles of it stacked against the walls, different colors and thicknesses waiting to be used. The smell of the tanning agents is pretty strong, but after a few minutes, you don't even notice it anymore. The workers here have steady hands and a lot of patience. We don’t rush things because leather doesn't like to be rushed. If you mess up a cut, that piece is ruined, so we take our time. The bridge nearby is a good landmark, though the construction noise can be a bit much sometimes. We have a small desk for the paperwork, but most of the square footage is dedicated to the actual production. It’s a practical environment, nothing like the glossy offices you see in magazines. We drink a lot of tea to keep going and the radio is usually playing something in the background. It’s just a group of people making leather goods in a quiet corner of the city.
