We are based at 10 Crooked Lane too, sitting right in the heart of the Esplanade district. It is a very old part of Kolkata, and you can see it in the architecture of the buildings around us. Our days are filled with the logistics of food. We have crates stacked up and people coming in and out with clipboards. It is a bit of a mess sometimes, with packing tape rolls left on the tables and empty boxes in the hallway. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. You just walk in and find us working. The 700069 area is always humming with energy, which keeps us on our toes. We handle things coming from all over, checking the weights and the seals on every container. It gets pretty humid inside, so we drink a lot of water and try to stay cool while we work. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the shipments to worry about that. We have a small kitchen in the back where we make tea and eat our lunch while talking about the traffic or the weather. It is a very practical place. We focus on getting the food items out to where they need to go without making a big fuss about it. That is just how we do things here in West Bengal.
