Our office and warehouse are at 98-a, Charu Chandra Place East. It’s an old part of town with narrow streets, so getting large shipments in and out can be a real headache sometimes. We deal with leather, and if you know anything about the trade, you know it’s not exactly a clean or quiet job. The place is usually stacked high with hides of all different types and colors. It has a very specific smell that you eventually stop noticing after working here for a week. We are a small team and we don't bother with fancy desks or a lot of paperwork. Most of our day is spent on our feet, checking the quality of the leather and making sure the orders are right. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building shows its age, but it’s sturdy and keeps the stock dry. We don’t have a website or do any of that modern social media stuff. Most of our business comes through word of mouth and people who have been in the industry for decades. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to finish our work by the light from the windows. It’s just the way it is in this neighborhood. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just provide leather to people who need it, and we do it honestly. If you come by, you'll probably find us covered in dust, sorting through a fresh delivery.
