If you come to the Ashavari Apartments on Monoharpukur Road, we are right there on the ground floor at 12/1. It’s a convenient spot because we don't have to haul heavy leather up any stairs. Dragon Star Leather has been around for quite a bit. The office is part of the apartment building, so it feels a bit like a home sometimes. We have desks shoved into the rooms and piles of samples everywhere you look. It’s not exactly a showroom, but we make it work for us. Most days involve talking to suppliers and checking the quality of the skins that arrive. We have a few big tables where we lay everything out to inspect it. The air always has that heavy leather scent which I’ve grown to like over the years. We don't bother with fancy decor. There are some old calendars on the walls and a clock that ticks a bit too loud. My sister helps with the accounts and we have a couple of guys who handle the heavy lifting. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the market. It is a simple business. We don’t have a big website or anything like that. People just call us or stop by when they need something. We try to keep the place organized, but when a new shipment comes, everything gets messy for a few days. That is just how it is.
