Daga Brothers

Daga Brothers is found at 67/44, Strand Road, specifically at 8 Cross Road on the 1st Floor in Room No. 12. Being in this part of Kolkata means dealing with a lot of noise and a lot of history. The building is old, and the stairs up to the first floor are a bit worn down from years of people walking up and down. Room 12 is a small space, but we have managed to fit everything we need inside. It is often a bit cluttered with ledgers, samples, and the general stuff that accumulates over years of trading. Strand Road is always a mess of trucks and people carrying loads on their heads, so it can be quite a challenge just to get to the front door. We have been operating here for a long time, and the atmosphere is very traditional. We don't have computers on every desk or a fancy reception area. Usually, there is a ceiling fan spinning overhead to keep the air moving in the humid weather. We know the tea seller downstairs and the other merchants in the building. It’s a tight-knit community where everyone knows everyone else. We focus on our daily trades and keeping the records straight. It is an honest way to make a living, even if the surroundings are a bit rough around the edges. We like the grit of the place and the daily routine that keeps us here.
