Crescent Tannery

You can find us at 81/1 Tiljala Road. Most people around here just look for Gulshan Hall since it's the main landmark nearby. We've been operating the tannery in this area for quite some time now. It’s an industrial part of town, so it’s always busy with trucks and people moving goods. The smell of leather is pretty much part of the furniture here. We handle the raw hides and process them. It's hard work and it can get pretty messy, but that's the nature of the business. We have a group of workers who know the process inside out. Some of them have been with us since they were young. The building is functional, nothing more. We have the vats and the drying areas set up to maximize the space we have. It’s not a quiet place to work. There’s always the sound of machines or water running. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most of our customers know where we are and what we do. We just focus on getting the leather right. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it's raining and we're trying to dry things out. We just take it day by day. Tiljala Road is always a bit chaotic, but it’s home for us. We keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be done. It’s a tough trade but we’ve stuck with it for years. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. It’s just us here.
