Ching Lederwaren

You can find us over at No. 31 Lower Range. Ching Lederwaren has been at this address for a good bit of time. The building is older, and you can tell by the way the floorboards creak when you walk around the back room. We deal with leather goods mostly, so the whole place has that specific smell that never really goes away. Some people like it, some don't, but we've grown used to it over the years. We keep our tools on a big wooden bench that’s seen better days. There’s always some scraps of material on the floor by the end of the shift. We aren't trying to be some high-end boutique or anything. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. The windows are a bit small, so we have to keep the overhead lights on even during the day. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance, which is annoying, but we manage. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just this physical spot where we show up every morning. We know the neighbors pretty well, and we usually share a pot of coffee around eleven. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the stock we have piled up, but it feels like home to us. We just take it one order at a time and try to keep the place somewhat tidy, even though it is hard with all the inventory sitting around.
