N. S. Lederwaren

N. S. Lederwaren is based over at 22/2 C. N. Roy Road. We also use the 18G Topara Road side, here in Kolkata, 700039. It’s a typical Kolkata neighborhood with lots of old buildings and narrow lanes. The air around here often smells like leather and dye because that’s what we do all day. Our workspace is spread out across a couple of rooms. It’s not very modern, but it has everything we need for leather work. We have big tables for cutting and machines for stitching. The floors are concrete and get a bit cold in the winter months. C. N. Roy Road is always busy with rickshaws and delivery vans. It can be a bit of a struggle to get larger shipments in and out because of the traffic, but we make it work. We’ve been in this part of Kolkata for years and we know all the shortcuts through Topara Road. The building is old and has its quirks, like a leaky pipe now and then or flickering lights. We don't mind much as long as we can get our work finished. It’s a place where things are made by hand and there’s always a bit of dust in the air. We don’t have a fancy office to show off. Most people who come by are just here to pick up orders or drop off materials. It is a simple life but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
