You can find us at No. 350 on Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Street. We are right by the Nager Bajar bus stop, which makes it easy for people to spot us when they are waiting for their ride. The Rotcoll spot is also near Srijani Club, so it’s a pretty well-known part of the neighborhood. We deal with leather here. It’s a messy business sometimes, with the smell of the hides and all the cutting we do. The shop is often full of rolls of material and scraps on the floor. We don't worry too much about making the place look like a showroom. It’s a workspace first and foremost. We have been here for a good stretch of time. Usually, there’s a lot of traffic on the street outside, so it stays pretty noisy. We just keep our heads down and do the work. If someone stops in, we talk to them and see what they need. We don't have any big sales pitches. It’s just leather and the work we put into it. Some days the shipment comes in late and we have to stay late to sort it all out. That’s just how it goes when you’re running a small place like this. We are just local people trying to make a living with what we know. It's a simple life, but we like the routine of it and we stay until the job is done.
