You can find Bina Leather at 107, Ashutosh Colony in the Haltu area. We deal with leather all day long, so the smell is something you just get used to after a few days. It is a very specific scent that tends to stay on your clothes even after you go home. The shop is tucked away a bit from the main road, but the locals know where to find us. We mostly do repairs and make a few standard items like belts or small pouches. It is dusty work because of the sanding and the way we have to treat the hides. We have a couple of old sewing machines that have been running since I can remember. They make a lot of noise, but they are very reliable compared to the new ones. Haltu is a good place for a business like ours because people here appreciate things that are built to last. We do not have a fancy showroom with glass cases. Everything is just stacked on wooden shelves or hanging from hooks on the walls. Sometimes we have to hunt for a specific piece of leather for a customer, which can take some time. We aren't usually in a big rush. We take the time needed to make sure the stitching is straight. My cousin helps me out during the busier months. We have had this spot at 107 for a long time and it is just what we do.
