F K Leather

F K Leather is based at No. 10 Bibi Bagan Lane. We are quite close to Rangkal More, which is the main landmark people use to find us. If you get to the more, you are basically there. The lane itself is a bit narrow, so it can be a squeeze if there's a cart or a bike parked the wrong way. We work with leather all day long. It's messy work sometimes, with all the shavings and the dyes we use. Our shop isn't anything special to look at, just a solid place where we get the job done. We’ve got benches lined up and stacks of skins waiting to be processed. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years, so they know the feel of a good hide. We aren't a big company with a marketing department. It’s just us in the workshop near Rangkal More. Sometimes the smell of the leather is really strong, especially when it's humid outside. We just keep the fans going and stay busy. If a customer comes by, they usually just stand by the door and talk to us while we work. It’s a very local way of doing business. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just know where we are. We try to be fair and do the work right the first time. That’s how we’ve stayed around on Bibi Bagan Lane for this long. It's just simple work. That is our daily life.
