Down here on the ground floor at 117 Arya Vidhalaya Road, we handle things for Bengal Beverages. We are right in the Haltu area, under the Kasba police station. It’s a small space, Flat No-1, but it works for what we need. Dealing with drinks and supplies means there is always something moving around. We get deliveries and send things out to shops. The roads around here can get a bit tight, especially during the busy hours in Kolkata 700078. It's a local business, through and through. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the people who live in the apartments above us. Most of our day is spent checking inventory or making sure the trucks are on time. It gets hot in the summer, which is when everyone starts asking for more stock. We don’t have a big corporate feel. It’s just us working in the office and making sure the orders are right. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to actually get some filing done. We’ve been in this part of Kasba for some time now. You learn how the local market moves. It’s just regular work, nothing too complicated, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We don’t mind the noise from the street, it just tells us that the neighborhood is alive and moving. It’s a decent place to be based.
