The shop is over at Tiljala, specifically 2 Bediadanga 1st Lane. It gets a bit dusty sometimes because of the street traffic outside, but we stay busy regardless. Mostly it's just leather work happening here. We spend our time cutting the pieces, stitching them up, and trying to get things done when we said we would. It's a small place, really. People around here know where we are because we've been at this for a while now. Some days are slower than others. We have a few machines that make a lot of noise throughout the afternoon. It's mostly just us working through the piles of material on the tables. Leather can be tricky to work with depending on the batch we get. Sometimes the edges don't line up right and we have to start over. That’s just how it goes in a workshop like this. Pragati Leather Crafts Pvt. Ltd. isn't trying to do anything fancy. We just make standard leather items that people use in their daily lives. If you walk down the lane you'll probably hear the hammers. We usually have some tea around four while the glue dries. It’s a messy job but we keep at it. The floors are always covered in scraps and thread. It's how we make our living. Most of the stuff we make gets packed into boxes pretty quickly for the customers. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders.
