Arshi Leathers

Arshi Leathers is a small place located at 13, Dilkusha Street. If you’re familiar with this part of town, you know the streets are narrow and always full of life. Our workshop is in an older building that has a lot of character, though it could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We mostly work on leather goods like wallets and small bags. It’s a family-style environment where everyone knows each other’s business. We have a few old sewing machines that have been running for years and they still do a better job than some of the newer ones. There’s usually a pot of tea going in the corner, and we take breaks when the heat gets to be too much. We aren't trying to be a big corporate brand. We just like working with leather and making things that last. The workspace is a bit messy, with spools of thread and leather offcuts everywhere, but that’s just how we work. Dilkusha Street can get pretty loud with all the neighbors and traffic, but we just turn up the radio and keep going. We don't have a big sign out front, just a simple door that stays open during the day. Most of our customers are people we’ve known for a long time. We don't do anything fancy, we just put in the hours and make sure the stitching is straight on every piece we finish. It’s a simple life and a simple business.
