Agarwal Variety Stores

Agarwal Variety Stores is located right at No. 36 on Chandni Chowk Street, near the intersection with Central Avenue in Bowbazar. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded and loud it gets. Our shop has been part of this chaos for quite a long time. We call it a variety store because that’s exactly what it is—we have a bit of everything crammed into the space. There are stacks of items reaching up to the ceiling and boxes tucked into every corner. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it, but we know exactly where everything is located. We spend our days helping people find specific small items they can't seem to find anywhere else. The street outside is always full of people, rickshaws, and noise, but inside we just focus on the customers. We don't have a modern checkout system or fancy displays. It's more of a traditional shop where you ask for what you need and we pull it from the shelf. Sometimes we have to move three or four boxes just to get to one thing, but that’s just part of the job here in Chandni Chawk. We enjoy the pace of Bowbazar even if it gets exhausting sometimes. It's a real place with real people coming in every day. We just keep the doors open and try to stay organized enough to keep things moving along for everyone who visits.
