Visava Restaurants

Our place, the Visava Restaurants, is situated at 870 E Ward in the Vrundavan Building. This is in the Bawada area of Kolhapur, right on the line near Dy Patil Medical College. Being opposite a medical college means we see a lot of students and staff members throughout the day. They’re usually in a bit of a hurry, so things move fast around here. We started this business because we wanted to have something of our own in the neighborhood. The building itself is okay, and we’ve tried to make the seating comfortable enough for people to sit for a bit. It’s not like those big chain places you see in the city center. We keep things simple. My brother helps me with the supplies and the billing. We go to the market early every morning to get what we need. Sometimes the weather in Kolhapur gets really hot, and the kitchen feels like an oven, but that’s part of the job. We have a few regular families from the Line Bazar area who come by on weekends. It’s good to have that connection with the people living nearby. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. We just stay open and do what we do. Some days are better than others, especially when the college is on break and it gets a bit quieter. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the place running smoothly for whoever walks through the door.
