Fauji Restaurant

We are located in the Kanchan Chaya Building at Plot No 88 in Phulewadi. Our restaurant is very close to the Gajanan Maharaj Mandir, so we get a lot of people stopping by after they visit the temple. Kolhapur is known for its food, and we try to stick to those local traditions as much as we can. It’s a pretty simple setup here at Fauji Restaurant. We have the usual tables and chairs, and the kitchen is tucked in the back where you can hear the pans clanking all day. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just enough so people can find us. Some days are very quiet, but on festival days or weekends, it gets very crowded and we have to move fast. We do a lot of traditional dishes that people in this part of Phulewadi like. It’s not the kind of place where you go for a quiet, romantic evening. It’s more for families and workers who want a solid meal that tastes like it was made in a home kitchen. We have been here at this address for a while and the neighbors know us well. We don't spend any time on marketing or social media because we are too busy cooking and cleaning. We just focus on what’s on the plate. If you’re ever near the temple and feeling hungry, you’ll find us right there in the building. We just keep it real and keep it simple.
