If you find yourself in Kolhapur, you might pass by Shri Sai Bhojanalay on Tarabai Road. We are situated right near the Mahalaxmi Dharmashala, which is a very well-known spot for people visiting the city. Our address is Mahalaxmi Dharma Shal A Ward 3072. It is an older part of the town, and the streets can be quite narrow and busy with people going to the temple. The building we are in is simple and has been there for quite some time. We start our day early, usually getting things ready before the sun is even fully up because that is when the first groups of people start moving around the Dharmashala. There is always a lot of cleaning to do, and the kitchen stays busy for most of the day. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations or anything like that. It is just a place to sit and eat. The sound of the city is always right outside the door, with bells from the temple and the noise of the traffic on Tarabai Road. We have become a part of the daily routine for many people who work around here or those who are just visiting for a day or two. It is hard work, but it is what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the cooking.
