Shree Samarth Restaurant

Our place is right across from the Kalamba SAI Mandir in Kolhapur. It’s a good spot because many people come to the temple every day. We see a lot of families and folks who are just visiting the area for the first time. The restaurant isn't very big, but we make do with the space we have. I remember when we first opened, we weren't sure if anyone would notice us, but being opposite the Mandir helps a lot. It gets really crowded on Thursdays and during festival times. You can hear the temple bells from inside sometimes. We spend most of our day prepping in the kitchen and making sure there is enough space for everyone to sit. We don't use any fancy systems here. Everything is done the old way. My staff and I just handle the orders as they come. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We are just local people serving other locals and the pilgrims who pass through. Sometimes it’s quiet in the afternoons, and that’s when we get a bit of a break. But mostly, it’s just work. We keep the floor swept and the water jugs filled. If you're coming to see Sai Baba, you'll see us right there. We don’t promise anything special, just a seat and a meal while you're in this part of Kolhapur. We've been here 416003 for a good while and plan to stay for much longer.
