Sayaba Restaurant

Sayaba Restaurant is tucked away at 2018 Kh/2 in the 2nd Lane of Rajarampuri. If you know where Janata Bazar is, we are right behind it. Being in Kolhapur, we get a lot of local people who are out doing their shopping and just want a quick bite to eat. The lane is a bit narrow, so parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes, but people usually find a spot. Inside, the space is a bit tight, especially during the lunch hour when everyone arrives at once. We have a few tables squeezed in, and the kitchen is just behind a small partition. You can hear the pans banging and the spices being ground from your seat. We don't use any fancy table cloths or expensive lights. It’s just us serving the food we know how to make. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floor has some scratches from moving the chairs around so much. We have lived in Kolhapur all our lives, so we know what the people here like to eat. It is a noisy, busy little place where the air smells like roasted chillies and onions. We are just a small family-run business trying to keep up with the orders and making sure the dishes are washed fast enough for the next customer. Behind Janata Bazar is where you will find us every day, just doing the same routine year after year in Rajarampuri.
