Savayam Chinese Centre

Savayam Chinese Centre is located at 462 B, Kawala Naka Road in the Shahupuri area of Kolhapur. We are directly opposite the Shahu Market Yard, so if you know where the market is, you’ve probably seen us. The 416001 area is always full of trucks and people moving goods, so it’s a very noisy and busy place to be. We’ve been here for a while now, cooking Chinese food for the crowd that passes by. Our shop is quite small, and the kitchen takes up a lot of the space. You can usually hear the sound of the stove and the pans from the street. We don’t have a lot of fancy furniture or any major decorations. It’s a simple setup for people who want to eat quickly. Most of our customers are workers from the market yard who don’t have a lot of time to spare. We do all the work ourselves, from the chopping to the serving and the washing up afterwards. It’s a lot of hours on our feet, but we’re used to it. The road outside is almost never quiet, but that’s just how it is in this part of Shahupuri. We don’t put on any fancy airs or pretend to be something we’re not. It’s just a basic Chinese food spot for the local working people.
