Sarthi Pure Veg

You’ll find us on the first floor of Egal Pride, which is right at Mirazkar Tikti in Kolhapur. We’re directly opposite Khasbag Maidan, so we have a pretty good view of what's happening over there. Since we’re a pure veg place, we get a lot of families and folks who are looking for that specific kind of meal. The building is a bit newer than some of the others in this part of town, but we’ve tried to make it feel comfortable. It’s not a five-star dining experience with waiters in white gloves. We’re just regular people serving food to our neighbors. Sometimes it gets quite loud because of the traffic outside or the crowds at the maidan, but that’s just part of being in Kolhapur. We don't have any grand mission statements pinned to the wall. We just focus on keeping the kitchen clean and the food hot. Our staff consists of local people who know the area well. We’ve had some days where things go wrong, like a slow delivery or a busy Saturday where every table is full, but we just keep going. It’s an honest business. We show up every morning, prep the vegetables, and wait for the first customers to walk up the stairs. It’s just how we live and work here in 416012. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and we like the neighborhood.
