Nest Restaurants

Our place, Nest Restaurants, is located in the Anubai Complex over on Rajarampuri 4th Lane. If you are taking the bus route, we are pretty much opposite S S Communication. Kolhapur is a great place to be, and Rajarampuri is always buzzing with people shopping or just walking around. We’ve been serving food here for a while now. The restaurant isn't huge, but we managed to fit enough tables for the lunch rush. It gets quite crowded around 1 PM, and the kitchen gets very hot, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We don't use any fancy equipment; it’s just traditional stoves and a lot of hand-chopping. You can hear the sounds of the street and the buses passing by while you sit near the window. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when we have a full house, but we try to get the plates out as fast as the cooks can finish them. We don't have a big corporate team behind us, just a family-style setup where everyone chips in with the cleaning and the serving. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but we’re still here in the same spot. It’s a practical place to eat. No white tablecloths or anything like that. Just good food and a place to sit down for a bit before you head back out into the Kolhapur sun.
