Kanaha Babu Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our company is located over in Rakehti, which is in the Nighasan area of Lakhimpur Kheri. We are at Ramasre Yadav’s place. Lakhimpur Kheri is a big district with a lot of farming going on, and we are right in the thick of it. We formed this group because as individual farmers, it was getting harder to manage everything. By coming together as Kanaha Babu, we can support each other better. Most of us grow sugarcane and other crops that are common in this region. The work is physically demanding and goes on all year round. There isn't really an "off" season for us. We meet at Ramasre’s place to talk about what we need to buy for the next planting or how to transport our goods. We don't have any polished speeches or marketing brochures. If you want to know about us, you just have to come and sit with us for a bit. We talk about the weather, the water levels, and the local market. It’s a very grounded way of living. We value honesty and hard work above everything else. We are just a group of neighbors trying to make the most of our land. Life in Nighasan is simple, and we try to keep our business just as simple. We don't need any complicated systems, just a bit of cooperation and a lot of effort in the fields. It keeps our families fed and our village going.
