We've been working the land around Kheri Jalab Ki Dhaninarnaund for a good while now. Most of us here at Triticum Wheat Farmer Producer Company Limited grew up seeing these fields every single day. Maha Singh lets us use his place for the main office stuff. It's not a big fancy building, just where we sit down and figure things out. Handling wheat takes a lot of effort, and doing it as a group helps us stay afloat. The weather doesn't always go our way, so we try to look out for each other. Sometimes the machinery breaks or the rains are late, but that’s just life in Hansi. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just trying to make sure the crops get handled right. It’s mostly just neighbor helping neighbor. If you come by the address, you’ll probably see someone fixing a fence or checking on the storage bins. We keep things pretty simple here. There's no big desk or people in suits walking around. We just focus on the wheat and getting through the season without too many headaches. It's a lot of long days and dusty boots. That’s how we’ve always done it. We’re just local folks from around the Dhaninarnaund area trying to get the job done together without making a fuss about it. It works for us.
