Wadhan Punjabi Dhaba

Our dhaba is right on Kaithal Road in Assandh, sitting just opposite the Subzi Mandi. If you know Karnal, you know how busy these roadside spots can get. Being across from the vegetable market means we get a lot of action from very early in the morning. We see farmers, truck drivers, and local traders all day long. It’s a Punjabi dhaba, so it’s exactly what you’d expect. We have the big tandoor going and the smell of tadka is always in the air. The furniture is just basic wood and metal, built to last. We don’t have air conditioning, just some big fans that keep the air moving during the hot months. The floor is concrete and we wash it down every day. It’s a noisy place with the sound of tractors and trucks outside, but that’s the charm of it. We don't have a printed menu that never changes; we just tell you what's fresh today. The portions are large because the people who eat here work hard and need the energy. We’ve been at this for a long time, and we don't plan on changing anything soon. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business. If you are driving on the Kaithal Road, you can't miss us. Just look for the crowd near the mandi and pull over. We usually have plenty of hot tea ready for anyone who stops.
