Brown Sugar (Noor Mahal Hotel)

Brown Sugar is our little spot inside the Noor Mahal Hotel in Karnal. You can find us on the ground floor right off National Highway 1. The hotel itself looks like a palace from the outside, but we are a more casual space where people can grab a coffee or a sweet treat. Being at the Noor Mahal Crossing makes it a very easy stop for people driving between Delhi and Chandigarh. We get a mix of hotel guests and locals from Sector 32 who just want a nice place to sit for an hour. The atmosphere is relaxed, even though the building is quite grand. We have a counter full of cakes and breads that we bake. It is not a complicated setup. We just try to keep things fresh. The staff here knows a lot of the regulars by name. Sometimes the lobby gets busy with weddings or events, but Brown Sugar stays pretty consistent. We focus on the small things, like making sure the tea is hot and the seats are comfortable. It is a good place to take a break if you have been on the road for a few hours. We don't do big advertisements. Most people just know we are here when they pull into the hotel grounds. It feels like a quiet corner in a very busy landmark, and we keep it that way.
