Neelkanth Vaishno Dhaba

Our dhaba is located on Meerut Road at Nagla Chowk in Karnal. It’s a very busy intersection, so there is always dust and the sound of horns from the trucks. We started this place because people needed a spot to sit and eat while they were driving these long routes. We don't have a big fancy menu with pictures, just a board on the wall showing what we cooked for the day. Most of the time it’s just lentils, vegetables, and fresh bread from the tandoor. The tandoor stays hot from early morning until late at night, and the guys working it have a tough job in this heat. We have simple wooden tables and benches where anyone can sit. We don't care much for fancy decor; we just keep the floor swept and the water jugs filled. A lot of regulars stop by every day on their way home from work. They usually just want a quick tea or a plate of food before they move on. In the evenings, it gets quite crowded and the kitchen gets a bit chaotic with everyone shouting orders. We just try to keep up and make sure no one is waiting too long. It’s a simple life running a dhaba on the highway. We’ve been at this spot for years and the locals know us well by now. There is always a lot of tea to be made.
