La Comida Restaurant

Our place, La Comida Restaurant, is right there in Indri Town, just in front of the Pulia. If you are looking for us, we are quite close to the Hakeem Boota Ram pansari shop, which most locals know well. Being in Karnal, things can get pretty lively on the street, especially during the market hours. We started this because we wanted a spot in Indri where people could just sit and eat without much fuss. It is a local kitchen, so you will see the same faces coming in for lunch or picking up something on their way home. The kitchen stays busy most of the day. You can hear the pans clanking and see the steam coming out of the back. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just cooking and serving. Sometimes the chairs might squeak or we run out of a specific ingredient because the market was short that day, but we make do. The staff here lives nearby, so we all walk to work. We spend a lot of time cleaning the tables and making sure the floor isn't slippery. It’s a practical kind of life here. People come in, they eat, they chat for a bit, and they leave.
