Welcome restaurant

Welcome restaurant is located at Shop no. 215 and 216 on Zoo Road in Vikash Nagar, Kanpur. We are quite near the KESCO sub station here. The 208024 area is a decent place to be. We have two shop units that we have joined together to make the restaurant. It gives us a bit more room for the tables and the kitchen. The kitchen is in the back and it stays quite hot throughout the shift. We serve a lot of people who work nearby or who are visiting the zoo. The floors are just regular tiles and the tables are the sturdy kind that can be wiped down easily. We don't have a fancy menu with pictures, just a list of what we have that day. Sometimes we change things based on what is available at the market. The KESCO station nearby means we don't have too many power issues, which is nice. Our staff is mostly local guys from Vikash Nagar. They know the regulars who come in for lunch every day. We don't do much advertising; people just walk in from the street. It’s a simple life running a restaurant on Zoo Road. We start prep work early in the morning before the sun gets too high. By evening, we are usually tired and ready to close up the shutters. It’s just a normal Kanpur eatery with no big airs about it.
