Delhi Darbar Family Restaurant

This restaurant is situated in New Chungi, over in the Jajmau area of Kanpur. We are right opposite Fresco Jajmau, which is the main way people find us. It’s a family-run kind of place, nothing too big or loud. We have been at this 208010 address for some time now. The street outside can get quite crowded with bikes and people going about their business. We see a lot of families from the local neighborhood coming in for dinner. It’s a simple setup with tables and chairs that have been there for a while. We don't use any special lighting or music; it’s just a place to sit and eat. The staff is local and we talk to the customers like we’ve known them forever. Jajmau is a busy part of town, so there is always something happening outside the doors. We just stay focused on what’s happening in the kitchen. We aren't trying to be a fancy five-star place. We just want to serve people who live around New Chungi. It’s honest work and we do it every day. Sometimes we run out of things early if it's a busy night, but that's just how it goes. People know if they come here, they get a decent meal without paying too much. It is just a regular restaurant on a regular street in Kanpur. We open up, clean the floors, and get the stove going early in the afternoon. We try to keep everything simple and practical for the local families.
