Brijwasi Sweet And Restaurant

Our shop is at 35 Chakeri Main Road, right in the Lal Bangla area of Kanpur. We’ve been here in Pardevanpur for quite some time now. It’s a mix of a sweet shop and a small place to sit and eat. The street outside is always crowded with bikes and people shopping. Inside, we have glass counters full of different mithai. We make everything right here. In the mornings, the smell of frying samosas fills the whole block. We have a few tables in the back if you want to sit down for a plate of chole bhature. It’s a bit cramped when it’s raining or during festivals. We get very busy during Diwali and Holi, sometimes the line goes out the door. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we are too busy to stop. We buy our milk from the same dairy we’ve used for a decade. Kanpur people like their food spicy and their sweets very sweet, so that's what we give them. It’s a honest living. My kids help out after school sometimes. We aren't trying to be fancy, just a reliable spot for the local community in Lal Bangla. Most people know us by name around here. We just try to keep the food fresh every single day for the neighborhood.
