Vaishno Dhaba

Vaishno Dhaba is situated at 107 / 3, Jarib Chawki, on the G. T. Road in Kanpur. We are right at the Jarib Chawki Chauraha, which is one of the busiest intersections you can imagine. The G. T. Road is always full of heavy trucks and noise, and we are right in the thick of it. Our place is quite simple and hasn't changed much over the years. We serve the people who are passing through or working in the local shops around the chauraha. There is always a lot of soot and noise from the traffic, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up. The kitchen is always busy with someone making tea or cooking up a fresh batch of food. We use heavy iron pans and big burners that put out a lot of heat. It is a very basic environment with wooden tables and stools that have seen better days. We don't have air conditioning or anything fancy like that. People come here because they know the location and they want something quick to eat. Kanpur is a tough, industrial city and our dhaba fits right into that vibe. We don't use any marketing tricks. We just stay open and keep the food coming for whoever walks through the door. It is a lot of work keeping things running at such a busy crossroads, but we have been here a long time.
