Swati Restaurant

It’s a bit of a climb getting everything ready here in Swaroop Nagar. Swati Restaurant is located at 7/198, inside Swati Bhawan. We are right by the Gold's Gym, which is a big place everyone knows around here. You see people coming in after their workout sometimes, looking for something to eat. Kanpur gets very hot, so the fans are always going. The building itself has been around for a while. We spend most of the morning chopping vegetables and getting the kitchen hot. It’s not fancy, just a regular place where people come to sit and have a meal. I’ve lived in Kanpur my whole life and this area has its own rhythm. The traffic outside can be quite a lot during the evening. We try to keep the tables clean and the water jars full. My staff and I just handle things as they come. Sometimes it’s quiet and we just sit and talk for a bit. Then suddenly five groups will walk in at once. That’s how the restaurant business is. Swaroop Nagar is a busy part of town, so there is always something happening. We just stay in our spot in Swati Bhawan and keep the stove running. It's a simple life. We don't do much marketing or anything. People just walk in because they are hungry and we are here to cook for them.
