Solitaire Restaurant & Banquet

Our restaurant and banquet hall is located at 113/208 in Swaroop Nagar, right across from the Kanpur Vidya Mandir School. It’s a pretty busy street, especially when school lets out and the kids are everywhere. We’ve been here in Kanpur for quite some time. The main floor is where the restaurant is, and we have the banquet space for people who want to hold small events or family gatherings. We didn't want to make it look like one of those cold, modern places. We kept the chairs and tables simple. Most of our regular customers come from the neighborhood. We see the same faces every week, which is nice. I usually sit near the entrance and handle the bills. The kitchen is always noisy with the sound of pans and the cooks talking. We don't have a fancy menu with words you can't pronounce. It’s just the food we know how to make well. When there is a wedding or a birthday party in the banquet hall, things get very hectic. We’re often running around until late at night. It’s a family business, so everyone chips in when it gets crowded. We don't spend money on big posters or radio ads. People just know we are here because of the school landmark. It’s just a plain, honest place to eat and gather with your family when you're in Swaroop Nagar. We enjoy the local atmosphere and the daily routine.
