Red Chilli Restaurant

Red Chilli Restaurant is located right in the middle of things at Raina Market in Tilak Nagar. We’re in shops 5 to 7, so there’s a decent amount of room, but it still feels like a neighborhood spot. Being near Company bagh Chauraha means there is always noise and movement outside. Kanpur is a busy city and this area is no exception. We opened up here because it felt like a good place to feed the people working nearby and the families living around Tilak Nagar. We don’t have any fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s just a straightforward place to sit down and eat. The market gets very lively in the evenings, and that’s usually when we are at our busiest. We spend a lot of time cleaning up and making sure the tables are ready for the next person. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets blocked, but we just deal with it and keep the kitchen running. It’s mostly just a few of us working here every day. We know a lot of the shopkeepers around Raina Market and they often come by for their lunch. It’s a simple life running a restaurant here. We focus on the cooking and making sure whoever walks through the door gets a meal without too much waiting around. It’s been a few years now and we’re just part of the local scene in Tilak Nagar.
