Mughal Darbar

We are located at 95/95, Parade Road, right near the Parade Chauhara in Kanpur. It’s a very busy intersection, so there’s always the sound of horns and people talking right outside our door. This version of Mughal Darbar has been part of the 208001 area for quite a while. Our daily routine is pretty fixed. We show up, start the prep work, and get the kitchen running before the lunch rush hits. The space isn't huge, so we have to be organized to make sure everyone fits. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, which can be tiring, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We see a lot of shopkeepers from the surrounding Parade area coming in for their meals. The walls are a bit plain and we haven't done much in the way of decorating because we’re usually too busy with the actual work. We don't have a big corporate office or anything; everything happens right here on the ground floor. It’s honest work and it keeps us connected to the neighborhood. We know the postman, the delivery guys, and the people who live in the apartments nearby. It’s a noisy, hectic part of town, but it’s our home. We stay open late into the evening until the traffic finally starts to thin out. Then we lock up, head home, and get ready to do the whole thing again the next morning. It is a long day every time.
