Maharana Prataap College of Engineering

Maharana Prataap College of Engineering is situated on Bithoor Road in the Mandhana area of Kanpur. We are specifically located near Bekunthdam. It’s a busy part of the outskirts. The college has been around for a bit, and we have a lot of students from across Uttar Pradesh. Kanpur gets very hot in the summer, so we have fans going all day in the classrooms. The labs are filled with all sorts of machines for the mechanical and electrical students. It’s a bit of a noisy place when the workshops are in full swing. We don't have a lot of polish here. The walls might need a bit of paint, and the desks have seen some use over the years. We just focus on the teaching and making sure the syllabus is covered. The office deals with a mountain of paperwork every day for university requirements. We have a canteen where the food is basic but fills the stomach. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how things work. It’s a very practical, down-to-earth kind of place. We don't make big promises or use fancy slogans. We just provide the space and the teachers for people who want to become engineers. It’s a lot of hard work for everyone involved, but that’s just how life is in Kanpur. We also have students who stay in the hostels nearby, so there is always someone around even after the office closes for the day.
