We've been here on Birhana Road for quite a while now. Most people around Kanpur know where we are. It’s just a regular shop where we deal with gold and silver items. My grandfather started things off, and we’ve just kept going. It's a family thing, really. When you walk in, you’ll see the counters are a bit old, but they’ve seen a lot of history. We don’t really do fancy ads or anything. People just stop by when they need something for a wedding or a small gift. It gets pretty crowded on festival days, and sometimes the tea we offer takes a bit too long to arrive from the shop next door. We try to keep things honest because that's how we were taught. Birhana Road has changed a lot over the years, more traffic and noise now, but our spot remains the same. Sometimes the lighting flickers, but we fix it when we get a chance. It's not a big corporate office, just a place where we sit every day from morning till the market closes. We spend a lot of time talking to the regulars who have been coming here since they were kids. Now they bring their own kids. It’s funny how time goes.
