Khushboo Restaurant

You can find Khushboo Restaurant over in Civil Lines at the Shri Krishna Tower. We are quite close to the court, so we see a lot of lawyers and people with legal business coming in for a bite during their breaks. Kanpur can be a busy place and this area is no exception. We start our day early to get the stove going and the tea ready. The furniture is practical and we try to keep things organized, though it gets a bit messy when it rains outside and people bring in mud. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone telling us how to look professional. It’s just us making sure the curry is right and the rotis are hot. The kitchen smells like spices most of the afternoon. We have a few windows that look out toward the street where the rickshaws go by. It’s a simple setup. We know most of our customers by face because they work in the nearby buildings. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to manage with what we have until it comes back on. That’s just how it is in this part of town. We keep the water jars filled and the plates stacked high. There’s nothing too complicated about how we run things, just hard work and making sure nobody leaves hungry.
