Hot Trak

You’ll find Hot Trak on the lower ground floor of Somdutt Plaza, right there on Mall Road in the Parade area of Kanpur. Being in a basement level means we don't get much natural light, but we’ve put up enough bulbs to keep it bright. It’s a busy plaza, and people are always coming down the stairs looking for something to eat or just to take a break from shopping upstairs. The air down here can get a bit still, so we keep the fans running all day long. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and we’ve seen shops in the plaza come and go. We just stay focused on our little kitchen and the customers who find their way down to us. It’s not a very big place, just a few tables and a counter where you place your order. We don't have a team of waiters in fancy suits. It’s just us in our aprons, making sure the food is ready. Mall Road is always crowded, and the Parade area has its own energy. We like being tucked away down here; it feels a bit like a hidden spot. We don't do any big promotions or put up giant banners. Most people find us by word of mouth or because they were already in the building. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business in Kanpur. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay as busy as we can.
