Hanwant Bhojnalaya

Our place, Hanwant Bhojnalaya, is right on Railway Station Road in Jodhpur. We are just opposite Hotel Rath Inn. Being near the station means we see people from all over. Jodhpur 342001 is a busy town, and our street is always full of rickshaws and travelers. We have been here for a good while. The building isn't new, and it has some cracks in the plaster, but it’s sturdy. We don’t spend much on advertising. Most people just walk in because they are coming from a train and they are tired. We try to keep the water cold and the food ready. It’s a lot of work staying open all those hours. We don’t have a lot of rules here. You just find a seat and we get to you when we can. Sometimes it’s a bit of a mess during the peak hours when several trains arrive at once. We just scramble to keep up. The smell of the station and the street is always there, but you stop noticing it after a few years. We are just a local spot for a quick meal. We don't try to be anything else. We know we aren't the fanciest place on the road, but we are here every day. It’s a steady life, even if it’s a bit hectic. We just serve what we have and keep the kitchen running as long as people keep coming.
