Gypsy Family Dhaba

You can find our dhaba at 107 Bachrajji Ka Bagh, right on 9th A Road in Sardarpura. We are tucked away behind the HDFC Bank, which helps people find us if they get lost in the side streets of Jodhpur. It’s a family-run kind of place, so it’s not very formal. We have some outdoor seating and some inside, depending on how hot it is that day. The sun in Rajasthan doesn't mess around, so we do our best with the coolers. It’s often busy with families, especially on the weekends. We don't have a big corporate manual or anything; we just handle things as they come up. If a lightbulb goes out, one of us gets the ladder. We spend a lot of our time in the kitchen or making sure the supplies are coming in right. The neighborhood is mostly residential and small shops, so it’s a nice community to be part of. We aren't trying to be a five-star hotel. We just want to be a place where you can get a full meal and sit with your kids or friends. The noise from the street is always there, but you get used to it after a while. We’ve been here for a good bit now, and we just keep doing what we know. It’s honest work, and we like being here in Sardarpura.
