Grill Delight

We’ve been here at Grill Delight inside the Hotel Suncity International for a while now. It’s right on the Airport Road in Jodhpur, so things get pretty busy when flights come in. Panchbatti Circle is just nearby and it’s always a bit of a mess with traffic, but that’s just how it is around here. We aren’t doing anything fancy, just cooking and keeping the place running every day. Most of us have been working here since the start and we know the regulars who stop by. Jodhpur gets really hot in the summer, so we spend a lot of time making sure everything stays cool enough for people to sit down comfortably. Sometimes the kitchen gets a bit loud when we’re busy, but we try to manage. It’s just a normal spot where people eat. We don't have any big stories to tell. We just open up in the morning, prep whatever needs doing, and wait for the lunch crowd to show up. It’s a lot of work being in a hotel setting because guests are always coming and going at odd hours. You see a lot of different people from all over. Some are just passing through the airport and need a quick bite. We just do our thing and hope the food is okay for everyone. It’s a simple life here on the road. We stay busy with the dishes and the cleaning, making sure the tables are ready for the next person who walks through the door.
